Shaped Wedding Ring Styles
There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to shaped to fit wedding rings - anything is possible in our workshops! There are a number of styles illustrated below that can give you an idea of what is possible or you may already have a good idea of what you would like - we welcome you to come and visit the shop to view shaped wedding ring examples we have in stock in gold and platinum.
Wishbone
A proven classic that works well with large oval stone engagement rings or cluster rings.
Gentle Curve
Subtle and sophisticated - a gentle meander that forms a close fit with your engagement ring. A popular style that looks great when worn on its own or with your engagement ring.
Lock & Key
Precise tessellation - refined edges follow the shape of your engagement ring for the closest fit possible. This style works particularly well with princess cut or emerald cut stones and three stone rings.
Tiara Wedding Ring
A design fit for royalty - beautiful curves, typically utilising claw settings with diamonds and other gemstones. .
Twist
Graceful, mobius-like, flowing lines in polished precious metals - diamonds can easily be added for an extra sparkle!
Asymmetrical Curve
For a unified overall look when both rings are worn together - sweeping curves tailored to fit your unique engagement ring. Ideal for cross over style engagement rings.
All styles are customisable with engraving, diamond setting or bicolour metals.
3D SCANNING
Make an appointment to have your ring 3D scanned, we can scan, lightly polish and clean your engagement ring - giving us everything we need to make a shaped wedding ring. No need to leave your engagement ring for any longer than an hour! 3D scans are free of charge Book an appointment here.
3DESIGN
With its powerful parametric capabilities we use 3design to create the initial geometries for your shaped to fit wedding ring. Used by many Swiss watch houses and jewellers world wide, 3design is our choice to realise the most accurate computer aided designs. We have been working with 3design since 2004 so know it inside out - you can trust that we do not just have the tools, but the know-how too!

Z BRUSH
We use zBrush to make fine adjustments after creating the initial geometry in 3design. This helps achieve a perfect alignment, a more accurate fit than many other jewellers that just use a single CAD package are capable of. zBrush has exceptionally powerful mesh adjustment capabilities - its used by many industries, including Weta Workshops in Wellington, New Zealand who completed the visual effects for the Lord of the Rings trilogy, District 9 and many other world famous movies.
