The Timothy Roe Bumble Bee
The Timothy Roe Bumblebee is a solid Gold realistic bee inspired by those seen in the Bishop's Palace Gardens close by our shop in Chichester. We had seen many variations of the bee jewellery models around but none with such a high level of detail or in solid gold. With the bee becoming increasingly more endangered we wanted to help raise awareness of the importance of the bee to our local environment for the pollination of our fruits, vegetables and flowers. Our bee jewellery starts at £135 for the silver model.
Our signature bee comes in three sizes of pendant, small, medium and large, in three colours, yellow, rose and white gold. The collection encompasses pendants, multi-bee necklaces, stud earrings, bracelets, cufflinks, and pick’n’mix bracelets. However, the possibilities for a bespoke bee are endless.
As a Timothy Roe creation the residents of our Hive have the TR logo on their tummy as a final signature mark.
Our launch earlier this year, to raise awareness of the decline of Bumblebees, has been a labour of love for our team. The collection began with our signature Bee pendants and has progressed onto a Hive of Bumble Bee pieces in 9ct yellow, rose and white gold. The head of our Hive was our first Queen Bee in solid 9ct Yellow Gold with a Platinum crown. She was quick to go and no hive can bee without it’s Queen, so we introduced our second Queen Bee.
In solid 9ct Rose Gold, with a Platinum Tiara, our new Queen was slightly smaller than her predecessor with a unique patterning and wing stance. All of our Bee’s differ slightly, making them truly unique pieces. Each purchase of a Timothy Roe Bee comes with a Bee Friendly kit to start growing more of the environment that the Bee's need to thrive in.
Since this our Queen has proven highly popular and has been joined by another Queen, Christmas edition Bee and soon our Celebration Bee. In the last 5 years the bee population has dropped by a third. If bees were to disappear from the face of the earth, humans would have just 4 years left to live. Our Queen Bee was also joined by a one-off large white gold Bee with a Tsavorite set into his tummy.
To find the perfect Bee for you, and help us start to grow more of their much needed habitat, come and meet our Hive.
